What's a Libertarian?

While libertarians are a diverse group of people with many philosophical starting points, most share a defining belief that everyone should be free to do as they choose, so long as they don't infringe upon the equal freedom of others.

There are hundreds of books, websites, articles and such that explore the ramifications of this idea. One way to get started in learning more is to pick out something to read from the Advocates for Self-Government website. Look at the Ask Dr. Ruwart articles and the Libertarian FAQ.
